Star Style Latest - A Stella Switch On

Never let it be said that Stella McCartney doesn't have a sense of humour. Yesterday she enlisted a little help from her friends (ho ho) to switch on the Christmas lights at her London store - namely the Fast Show's "suits you" tailors Ken and Kenneth, a.k.a. Paul Whitehouse and Mark Williams. With tape measures in hand, the duo hammed it up in front of the store, as Stella oversaw proceedings with just a hint of a smirk on her face and dressed in a great double breasted jacket, skirt and knee-high boots. And what a set of lights it was they switched on - just check out the picture below. Also on hand to kick-start Stella's Christmas was age-old WAG Louise Redknapp, who lit up the room with just her outfit - a great cropped tux jacket worn over a metallic top with super-skinny jeans and a fabulous beaded clutch bag. We'll be paying a visit to the store to ooh and ahh just as soon as we can.

Star Style Latest - Rachel's Lesson in Dressing

Rachel Bilson gave us all a lesson in dressing down whilst still keeping things chic yesterday. The former OC star, ex-girlfriend of Adam Brody and rumoured current squeeze of the lovely Hayden Christensen looked happy and relaxed as she took a stroll with friends in the Beverley Hills sunshine - well, you'd have plenty to be happy about if you had a wardrobe as enviable as hers. Wearing a fabulous statement cropped jacket with big buttons and bell sleeves along with a pair of white jeans, beige knee-length boots and a fab oversized bag, Rach grinned for the paps before heading home - and into Hayden's arms? The speculation surrounding the pair is certainly hotting up, yet they refuse to confirm or deny it, despite Rachael attending the premiere of Hayden's latest film, Awake. Coincidence? We think not...

Star Style Latest - British Fashion Awards

My, what a difference a diet makes. A newly-slender Lily Allen attended the British Fashion Awards in London last night, and there wasn't a flick of neon eye shadow or a pair of Air Max in sight. Instead, Lily made the grandest of entrances in a pink strapless dress complete with feathered skirt and gold heels - a look fit for a princess if ever we saw one. Joining Lily at the event - which honours the crème de la crème of British fashion - and wearing a great Giles dress was Agyness Deyn, who (rather unsurprisingly) scooped the Model of the Year award. A northern girl through and through, Aggy was straight on the phone to her mum when the award was announced, telling the audience "it's my mum on the phone...she's well chuffed". Thata girl. Other stars of note to attend were Kelly-O wearing a fabulous one shoulder dress, Erin O'Conner in a floaty printed maxi dress and Ms. Dita Von Teese, wearing just about the shiniest gold dress we've ever seen. In award related news, Stella McCartney took home the Designer of the Year gong, whilst Christopher Kane took New Designer of the Year and Dame Vivienne Westwood collected the award for Outstanding Achievement In Fashion Design - well deserved, we say.

Star Style Latest - Vanessa Lights Up Paris

It would seem that it's not just style that the French do with more sophistication than us - the turning on of their Christmas lights is an altogether classier affair too. Whilst over here in good old Blighty celebs invited to sink the plunger have included Shane Ward in Manchester, X-Factor rejects Eton Road and ex-Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton in Liverpool and Shay Given (a footballer, apparently) in Newcastle, yesterday Paris employed Vanessa Paradis to do the honours on the Champs-Elysées. Yes, that's Vanessa Paradis of 'Johnny Depp's Girlfriend' fame - talk about A-List. And, of course, Vanessa didn't fail to impress with her choice of outfit for the occassion. Keeping things warm yet chic, she wore a très stylish checked coat, cinched at the waist with a black belt and finished with black tights and a great pair of patent multi-strap heels. Bet Shane Ward didn't look this good, eh Manchester?

We anticipated this trend ages ago, way back when the Spices announced their jubilant reunion and Posh wore that pair of super-tight sequinned trousers (well, if ever there was a woman to launch a trend - pob, anyone?). It's taken a while to catch on, but we can confirm that sequinned trousers are set to be the hottest look for the coming party season. This pair from our friends at S'nob and almost identical to Victoria's pair - be brave and try them!

Star Style Latest - Birthday Celebrations, Girls Aloud Style

It was all smiles from Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh this weekend as she celebrated her 26th birthday at The Burlington Club in London. And, of course, the girls were on hand to ensure her birthday went with a bang. The birthday girl herself opted to wear a very flattering combination of barely-there beige and contrasting black with a belt that emphasised her tiny waist, whilst Cheryl Cole rocked up with husband Ashley looking rather sophisticated in a Little Black Dress with scarlet lips. The band's resident ginge, Nicola, arrived in a dress rather similar to our very own Sequin Sleeve Dress (and, can we just say, how gorgeous is her hair?) and Sarah, official party animal of the band, leant on a pal wearing a great stripy dress for support, whilst she herself wore a dazzling sequinned mini dress. Which just begs the question - where, oh where was fifth and final band mate Nadine whilst the four girls were celebrating? Surely there can't be any truth in those "Girls-Aloud-to-split, Nadine-to-go-solo" rumours...can there?
